N.J. police fatally shoot knife-wielding man during burglary probe, officials say

Police in South Jersey fatally shot a man who officials say was wielding a knife when officers investigated a home burglary early Sunday morning.
The man, whose name was not released, was shot inside a home in Haddon Township, Camden County, after police responded to a 911 call shortly after 1 a.m., according to the New Jersey General’s Office. The agency is responsible under state law to investigate police-involved shootings and publically share results.
The man died about an hour after he was taken to Cooper University Medical Center in Camden.
