Vintage Pinkie the Hand Puppet Hospital Pal Pixie Kewpie Doll Hand Puppet 1950s. This is a vintage, handmade and hand-painted, Pinkie pixie puppet doll Circa 1950s. The Pinkie puppet movement was started in 1956 at the Akron Children’s Hospital and spread to children’s hospitals nationwide during the 1950s. This simple puppet still has a twinkle in her eyes. Pinkie Puppet is made of a hand painted canvas face and deep pink cotton glove. It is in very good pre owned condition. There is some soiling on the face and glove; a side seem has opened a bit and the stitching on the back of the neck is loose. Please see photos for details on condition. She has been dusted with a lint roller and lightly ironed.
